My Anniversary!!

Saturday, April 13 is my one-year anniversary of living in NYC!!! I remember because it was Friday the 13th when my dad and I packed up the Subaru with everything that I’d whittled my life down to and drove six hours to the most amazing city in the world.

This is the most important anniversary of my life thus far after one of the most memorable years I’ve had in a long time.

In this past year I’ve done a lot of things: I started running, I sold my car, I met some incredible people, I became closer to friends I’ve had all along, I started this blog, I got a killer new job, I traveled abroad for the first time, and so many other wonderful things. I want to do a proper ManhattanRed round up, but I also want to do something in the city.

What should I do for my one-year NYC anniversary?

The first reference to how shitty 4/5/6 train service is can be found in ancient scripture

“…and the Lord said unto all men, Gentile and Jew that they would be exiled from the North East, for it was against His will that they would labor in the lands he had bestowed unto them. And thus they were borne upon caravans, the IV, V, and VI. But they were not to be delivered without peril for the journey was plagued with residual delays and inconvenient service changes, for their sins.”
